Dear Home Care Agencies,
Please see the Dear Administrator Letter issued by NYSDOH on 7.22.2022 regarding Monkeypox symptomatic and/or asymptomatic guidance for Health Care Workers.
1.NYSDOH invites healthcare facilities to remind their staff not to report to work symptoms and/or signs of monkeypox.
2.If staff has been exposed to someone with monkeypox by experiencing any symptoms, they should isolate at home, contact their employer and a primary care provider IMMEDIATELY.
3.If healthcare workers have been exposed to a patient with monkeypox, they should notify the following: infection control, occupational health, and the health department in order to get medical evaluation.
